The Chintech fraternity observed the 66 th birthday of Pujya Guruji H.H Swami Tejomayananda with austere fervour. An assembly of the staff and students was organised at the Chintech seminar hall. Dr. K.K. Muraleedharan, principal, welcomed the gathering. Ms. Haritha Hareendran, II Sem MCA student, presented Swamiji’s biography. Rajan, Chief Sevak, CMECT Kannur recounted his 40- year old association with Swamiji, reminiscing anecdotes from Guruji’s life and work; saluting his magnanimity, simplicity and wisdom. He acknowledged Guruji’s support to the 2 nd Chinmaya International Geetha Chanting Competition organised by Chintech in 2015-’16. He remarked that the Chinmaya Viswa Vidyapeeth, the newly announced de nuvo autonomous university from Chinmaya Mission, is a true milestone for Chinmaya Mission. Prof. C.P. Sreenath, Honorary Dean of Chinmaya Colleges, threw light on the Guru-shishya bond between Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda and Guruji Swami Tejomayananda. He instilled pride and optimism in the minds of the students by reinforcing the value of the ‘Chinmaya’ mantra and the awe- inspiring growth of Chinmaya Mission institutions worldwide. Mr. Nishith Anand, Asst. Professor, proposed the vote of thanks.
